The rumors are true. On December 17 TIN HORSE was asked to showcase new songs for industry people at the acclaimed Soundcheck Studios in Nashville.
It went well… but boy were we nervous. We played new songs written by Nashville’s best and a few TIN HORSE-written songs. Everyone was toe tapping and swaying to the high energy that is synonymous with TIN HORSE. We only had about a week and a half to get ready.
The response was great and we have been asked to record the songs for a demo deal. So we are heading to the studio. The new management team has pulled us off the road for the next four months and want us to work on our new single.
Additionally we are going to make a few changes to the band for the next showcase. We are gonna return to our roots. So look for the new TIN HORSE and our new single in 2010. In the meantime, check out the pics from the showcase - you’ll notice some new faces: Doug Sisemore (Reba McEntire’s music director) was brought in to whip us into shape; Captain Knucklehead (aka Ricky - front of house for Reba, Faith Hill, Montgomery Gentry); James Higgins (worked on so many tours including with the spectacular Tina Turner); our guitar techs: Dave Johnson and Jay Z, plus a host of others.
Happy New Year!
