2009 is coming to a close and TIN HORSE is wrapping up its  Bucking the System tour.

We did over 85 concerts, radio interviews, and special appearances including shows from the beautiful fountain of the Gulf Stream waters to the northern tip of majestic Lake Huron. With an eclectic following, TIN HORSE played shows with country and rock bigwigs from Rodney Atkins to the legendary rock icon Patty Smyth.

Fans drove hundreds of miles to see the band, posted videos of the shows on YouTube, stole the band’s set lists, and even brought out their living room sets to experience the concerts out in the open.

Thanks to everyone who has helped make the year such a great one. And now the band is excited to embark on an even bigger and better 2010. 

Management has pulled TIN HORSE off the road for the winter months. The emails are still coming in as are requests for the band’s newest material.  So we are heading to the studio with Doug Sisemore from Reba’s band. We are teaming up with a number of songwriters who have written for Miranda Lambert, Montgomery Gentry, and are continuing to write as a band.

Look for a stellar opening for the 2010 tour featuring TIN HORSE and special guest as their high profile friends join them to kick off their best year to date.

TIN HORSE had a great show this weekend at the West Dundee Heritage Fest. The video above is a testament to that! What a great crowd, festival, sound crew, and organizers… everyone was so awesome! It was an excellent close out to the summer leg of our Bucking the System tour and we thank everyone who helped make our season so wonderful! If you were at our shows this summer and took pics or video, make sure to send those along… we’re posting them on our photos page and we’d love to include yours!

NEW RECORDINGS - CHECK ‘EM OUT!

TIN HORSE had a great weekend of shows that took them, triangularly, from Chicago to Decatur, IL; east to Richmond, IN (on the Ohio border); and back to the Chicagoland area with a show in Oak Lawn, IL. The weather was great, the audiences were fabulous, and it was awesome to be back on the bus again - - the band really missed it and you!

But, as you know, TIN HORSE was in the studio those couple of weeks and have something to show for it! Check out a slew of new recordings on the LISTEN page. And we’ll have more coming your way in the next few weeks so stay tuned!

Up next? TIN HORSE will play their last outdoor show of 2009 (unless we get a last minute gig on a resort in a warm, tropical area sometime this Fall/Winter). If you’re in the NW Chicagoland area, see the band at Heritage Festival in West Dundee, IL on Saturday, Sept. 19. See you there.

TIN HORSE put another bunch of miles on the tour bus’ odometer this past weekend with a couple nights near Iowa City, IA at the Riverside Casino. In between playing 2 stellar nights, the members of TIN HORSE relaxed, swam, laid out in the sun, received special spa treatments, ate, slept, and went fishing. Read about the one that got away on the TIN HORSE blog “Dear Diary” very soon.

The big TIN HORSE tour bus clocked in 1,000+ miles this past weekend taking the band to 4 shows and a radio interview in 3 days through 3 states: Wisconsin, Michigan, and Illinois. Highlights? There were many that included a full living room set carted out by new TIN HORSE fans to the show in Kenosha, WI; the “drive-in” concert given in Rogers City, MI replete with the honking of horns in lieu of applause; and fans rushing the stage to sing along in Lindenhurst, IL.

The band finished up the Grove portion of it’s Bucking the System tour, which took TIN HORSE through Downers Grove, River Grove, Sugar Grove, Morton Grove, and Elk Grove. We are now in the midst of the Hills leg of the tour: Hickory Hills and Vernon Hills. If you haven’t seen us yet at one of our many outdoor concerts this summer, we’ve got a few more remaining before the summer lets up. In the next couple of weeks, the band has shows in Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Iowa. If you live in the midwest, please come see us! More details on our shows page.

The band is coming off of 8 shows in 9 days and have the day off today. But don’t fret! We’ve got another show tomorrow, July 28, in Morton Grove, IL. That show will finish off the “Grove Tour” section of our Bucking the System tour. We’ve made so many new friends and appreciate all your support. We’ve been cooked for, baked for, housed, photographed, video’d, and lauded. And we’ve loved every minute of it!

Hey there THB Fans,

It’s unbelievable… the band is on the their 2nd day of no gigs in a row and they just don’t know what to do with themselves! That’ll all change this weekend when the band embarks on seven shows in eight days. In the meantime, they’ll just have to recover from a great set of shows this past weekend in Homewood, IL and Westchester, IL.

Special thanks to TIN HORSE’s true and loyal official cookie baker Joan, who showed up this time with a great bunch of brownies. Was that caramel we detected in there, Joan? We’d love to post a photo of those brownies here BUT we didn’t get a photo BECAUSE they disappeared so quickly.

The band also made a new fan in the personage of a roller derby girl! A shout out the Windy City Rollers own Hermione Danger.

Wow! What a great weekend of shows the band had - 5 nights = 5 shows. Highlights from each:
1. July 1 at Taste of Lombard - the giant American flag serving as backdrop for the stage. Made us even more super proud to sing our original “It’s All America To Me”.
2. July 2 at Elmwood Park - sharing the stage with rock legend Patty Smyth.
3. July 3 returing for our 2nd year at the Dixon Petunia Fest - the line out the door for our meet and greet pre-show.
4. July 4 in Mundelein - the post show email and picture from a young fan reading: “Our little girl was given a glow-bracelet from the blonde singer tonight during the show, and fell asleep with with it in hand. (see picture). Fortunately, we picked up a cd for her to keep dancing to… Thanks for a memorable 4th!!!!” - Jeff G.
5. July 5 in Hoffmann Estates - playing the encore underneath a beautiful full moon and receiving the following email post-show: “Of all the bands I saw this past week, yours was the only one that I want to see again. …you gals (and guys) really know how to play like you’re rockers! There was a lot of energy on that stage (and off it, too, when your guitar player ran among the audience). I didn’t know of your band before your appearance in Hoffman Estates; it was an excellent discovery….” - Ken L.

It’s the last day of June and the band is experiencing one of its few days off. This past weekend, TIN HORSE has played Palos Hts., Geneva, Bourbannais, and Oak Lawn. We went from rain, rain, rain to scorching heats from one week to the next. The band took a vote: wet from rain or wet from sweat. The votes came in tied.

It’s been another busy week on the band’s Bucking the System tour with shows in Glenview IL, Burlington IA, Oswego IL, and Alsip IL. There’s been rain, sun, wind, and, well,… we sort of all feel like the trusty postal worker who shows up no matter what! Thanks to all of you have consistently shown up as well. TIN HORSE thrives on that. We’re making friends everywhere we go, and that’s been super cool.

Hey THB Fans,

Seems like the band made a lot of new friends this weekend in Alpena, MI. You can see for yourself in the video.

The show, presented by True North Radio Network, had one of the largest crowds the promoters had ever seen! They marked it at 2,000+ with people still coming in.

Thanks to everyone who made the concert so great - and thanks to everyone who bought every last CD and t-shirt we had! TIN HORSE will be back in the area in August so make sure to sign up on the mailing list to find out exactly when and where.

On Saturday, TIN HORSE had the great honor of playing one of the country’s quintessential small towns: Brocton, IL, population 322. Now, the TIN HORSE tour bus has pulled into many a great festival, concert arena, music venue but there is something extra special in coming to true heartland America. The band was greeted by the mayor and town folk and given star treatment. In return, TIN HORSE played a couple of stellar sets and sold a bunch of merch: we’re certain that this morning the streets of Brocton are lined with folks wearing their new TIN HORSE t-shirts!

And just where is Brocton? you ask. Well, read this and you will know it all.

Hey THB Fans,

The band had a GREAT weekend playing 2 shows - their first outdoor concerts of the Bucking the System tour. The weather couldn’t have been more agreeable - - granted their were windburn issues on Saturday and sunburn issues on Sunday BUT there was no rain and that assured the masses came out.

Saturday the band rocked the house in Glen Ellyn and lingered to eat some great carnival food aferwards. A very happy birthday once again to TIN HORSE drummer Pauly, who was surprised by his bandmates with a fried Milky Way. Nothing says love like a completely unhealthy morsel. Thanks to Georgia and the rest of the staff in Glen Ellyn for helping us make the show so much fun!

Sunday, TIN HORSE drove to the lovely Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL to perform for the Focus on a Cure fundraiser for Parkinson’s. It was a great afternoon with food and families and US99’s Drew Walker. The folks at Focus on a Cure were so hospitable! Thanks to Ken, Ann, Andy, Bob, Gabi, and the rest of the gang for taking such good care of us.

See the band again this weeekend as they return to play Loves Park for the 3rd year in a row!

This weekend the band has a couple of great shows in the Chicagoland area, including Focus on a Cure’s 4th annual picnic in the PARKinsons with Americas Country Station US 99.5. The event, at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle on Sunday, May 17, helps support researchers, doctors, and organizations that are working to find a cure for Parkinson’s Disease. Come out for a great cause and have some great fun with TIN HORSE!

TIN HORSE is excited to be playing their first festival of the season this Saturday, May 16 at the Taste of Glen Ellyn!

Hey THB Fans,

The tour bus just pulled up to home base after a spectacular couple of shows in the northern Illinois area. First stop was the Listener Appreciation Party for River Country 101.7FM in Dixon, IL. The band put on a rocking 2-set show for the 700+ people in attendance and had a great time spending set breaks with fans who wanted autographs and merchandise. Wear those TIN HORSE tees proudly! Thanks to all the great folks at WRCV for putting together such a great party and thanks to all the folks who came out and made TIN HORSE feel so welcome. The highlight for the band? Walking through the line of fans waiting for doors to open pre-show. We’ve got the video and will post it in the next few days. Check back!

Saturday night took the band north to Freeport where TIN HORSE played another couple of rocking sets. Thanks to Eric, Derek, Tania and all the staff at Logan’s. TIN HORSE was happy see some familiar faces and made quite a few new fans! Look for pics from that evening on our photo page in the next few days.

Spring is in the air - at least for those of us in the midwest. But weather is a fickle thing - Antje experienced snow in Montreal, Andra’s trip to Nashville included a tornado, and the rains were heavy in Florida, where Caroline spent Easter weekend. But there is promise of warmer weather and that means TIN HORSE festival season (complete with funnel cake, kettle corn, and lemon shake ups). Check out the complete schedule for a show near you.

For those of you in the Dixon and Freeport IL areas, that is sooner rather than later.

The WRCV Listener Appreciation Concert on May 1. WRCV 101.7FM in Dixon, IL has been spinning our songs. You may have also heard Andra, Antje, and Caroline announcing ways to win invitations to this concert, which will be held at the Westwood Sports & Expo Center in Sterling. The band is back from a great bunch of shows on the deep south leg of their Bucking The System tour. How’d it go? Fantastically. What all did it entail? :

A tornado, a rain storm, a flash flood, a day of drying out the bus bays from the water that reached over the knees of the band as they waded to the bus after their first night of kick butt shows at the Hard Rock, being pulled over in southern Illinois, being pulled over in Mississippi, no tickets received, fantastic food in Baton Rouge, Antje and Andra playing up on the bar at Boudreaux and Thibidoux, a show with the legendary HEART, more meal tickets than you can shake a stick at for the fantastic buffet at Hard Rock Biloxi featuring a spectacular chocolate fountain, setting the stages on fire in both Baton Rouge and Biloxi, receiving calls first thing Monday morning to return to the scene of the crime.

Thanks to all the people at both Boudreaux and Thibidoux and Hard Rock Biloxi for making our shows there so wonderful. A shout out to Buck, our sound engineer at Hard Rock; Michelle, our chef at B&T in Baton Rouge; Walker, our sound guy at B&T; and all the other great folks we met.

The band is finishing up their recordings this month and taking a few days vacation here and there - Caroline is going to San Francisco, Antje is going to Montreal, and Andra will be hanging out in Nashville.

In touring from town to town, state to state, coast to coast, it’s easy to lose track of the laws that are specific to certain areas. We’ve received numerous calls and email expressing concern for Caroline and the band’s well being. We’ve also received many off the wall guesses at what the band could have possibly done wrong (and, no, there is no crime for looking that hot, but thanks to Robert K. in Bloomington, IN).

Yes, Caroline was almost arrested pre-show at Kam’s inChampaign, IL for….drum role please… jay walking! thats right jaywalking or failure to yeild to that flashing guy signaling not to walk across the street. Obviously quite a serious crime, in Champaign. Caroline was given the option of going to jail or receiving a ticket. While it wasnt’ an easy decision, she did not want to let down all of the fan’s at U of I fans so opted for the $75, which the band is in the process of paying. We appreciate the donations for her legal defense fund. And the number of attornies who have vowed to take this to the US Supreme court even if it cost us every dime we have.

SOLD OUT!!!! If you missed The TIN HORSE homecoming show at the Abbey Pub on February 27 then you probably didnt buy a ticket well enough in advance.

The venue was packed, flashbulbs were blazing, the crowd was wild, and TIN HORSE RAWKKKKKED. All and all, an amazing night. Many thanks to those of you who stood like sardines to watch TIN HORSE rock out. Tickets exceeded the venues capacity and the band was asked to come back even before the soundcheck was over! (see pics here)

The band might be able to squeeze in another Chicago appearance sometime this year BUT in the meantime, the Bucking The System tour is filling up with shows nationally. Check out the tour schedule to see when TIN HORSE will be somewhere near you!

Finally, YES, the rumors are true! Caroline was almost arrested pre-show at Kam’s in Champaign, IL on Tuesday. We will be posting the complete story and how you can help in the next few weeks. As you may have noticed, the Bucking the System tour schedule is filling up very quickly! Thanks for all your emails asking when we’d be back in your area. So far the big, teal tour bus will include stops from northern Michigan to the gulf coast. Biloxi, Baton Rouge, Nashville, throughout Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota. Appearances with Randy Travis, Diamond Rio, the legendary Patty Smyth. The booking agents are working overtime to make it all happen!

The band has also been hard at work with a new producer and will have recordings within a few weeks!

Happy New Year, THB fans. If you’ve been following the band in an eggnog-induced haze over the holidays, you’ll know that TIN HORSE spent a great New Year’s in northern Michigan. Early on New Year’s Eve, the tour bus rolled through a snow storm and into Traverse City for an early, on-air appearance on WLDR. The bus then snaked its way further northwest to the Shanty Creek Resort in Bellaire where the band put on a rocking good time at the New Year’s Eve bash hosted by WTCM. It was a great way to close out the 2008 Horses Gone Wild tour. Thanks for all your notes including:

“We had a great time at the New Year’s Eve show at Shanty Creek!!!!  Tin Horse Band is awesome, I have been telling everybody… Keep up the great work!  We had friends with us from Canada, they are huge country music fans, they talked about you all the next day.” - Doug and Beth

New Year’s Day was spent travelling, which the band loves to do… and you know what they say, what you end up doing the first day of the year is what you’ll be doing the rest. TIN HORSE kicked off it’s 2009 Bucking The System tour at a 2-night stand at Neon Armadillo in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Whew! The band is just rolling in from a great bunch of shows up in Weston, WI and Champaign, IL. 3 nights in 5 days, 840 miles of road traveled, a load of diesel fuel (but it’s cheaper now so thank goodness for that!), a crate of English muffins from Costco, 2 mega pre-show dance parties on the bus with the great on air staff of WDEZ up in Wausau, WI and most, if not all, the Kam’s linedancers down in Champaign, IL, and a whole lot of fun amongst the band members! After playing over 60 shows in 8 months with national acts and headlining festivals from Biloxi, Mississippi to Northern Michigan and as far west as Nebraska, TIN HORSE has cut back on this season’s tour shedule in order to concentrate on a number of cool things.

We are doing maintence on the bus, buying new guitar strings, everyone is getting a new hairdo, and so much more! Why?

Well, the band is:

• Doing a new, exciting photo shoot that will feature plaid, leopard print, and leather;
• Designing a new website that will debut the new TIN HORSE logo;
• And they’re in the studio recording new songs while mixing all the tracks for the TIN HORSE EP, to be released soon!
• AND, yes, the rumors are true, about the band shooting a video.
• PLUS, TIN HORSE has been hard at work on coming up with new material for their sets AND, well, maybe, just maybe, there’s some choreography involved.

September 30 marked the deadline for the MYSPACE TIN HORSE EP giveaway. We were very pleased with the influx of comments and, even more so, the email the band received from fans who aren’t on myspace. Throughout the summer we received word from people who saw the band’s big teal tour bus just traveling down the highways from shows in Nebraska to Michigan, Wisconsin to Mississippi, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama. Then we found a post on a blog about the bus, which also garnered the band a prestigious “official blog band” position. We decided to start a contest.

Hey THB fans… including all the new ones the band made at their recent show at the infamous campus bar in Champaign, IL: Kam’s. TIN HORSE had a great time performing this past week. Thanks to WIXY for the great on air interview with Dangerboy Andy Roberts. And thanks to the News Gazette for the great write up on the band in last Sunday’s issue!

Hey THB fans… the band just finished their summer festival season that took them from northern Michigain to Biloxi and Nebraska to Indiana. Check out the photos of fanstastic summer seaons of the Horses Gone Wild tour!

With traveling to Nashville and working on new material, TIN HORSE is cutting back on playing out. All summer there were requests for recordings of the new songs and, well,  the band needs to be in studio to finish the mix and mastering of the highly anticipated EP as well as start on tracking the newer material. And, yes, there is talk of a video. Stay tuned!

In the meantime, TIN HORSE does need its live fix every now and again - - the band will make its debut appearance at Kam’s in Champaign, IL on Tuesday, Sept. 23. And look for the interview with TIN HORSE in the Champaign News Gazette!

Hey all THB fans, old and new alike. We had another great weekend. It was the band’s first time out in Lena, IL (near Freeport) where a record number of TIN HORSE CDs was sold. The band’s agents were getting calls to book the band back for next year even before their tour bus even crossed the town line. Thanks to the great press we received and all the great post-show comments.

The next night, the band went to NW Indiana for their 3rd year in a row at the end of summer celebration in Munster, where they had the great privilege of sharing the stage with the inimitable Webb Wilder. It was great to see so many familiar faces in the crowd.

Happy Labor Day THB Fans! The band played another set of great shows this weekend: one in Maple Park, IL where they met up with some of their most die-hard fans, and one in Lowell, IN where they met up with some of their most die-hard fans. Both towns have played host to TIN HORSE many times and the band has garnered a great following in both places! Thanks to all of you who came out this weekend to see, sing, and dance with the band.

After a great weekend up in NW Michigan at the newly constructed Turtle Creek Casino near Traverse City, THB is resting up for a long ride down to Hard Rock Biloxi in Mississippi. It’s almost a straight shot - 1200 miles of road, 5 states to travel through, from the Grand Traverse Bay to the Gulf of Mexico. If you see our big teal tour bus out there, make sure to wave (or send us an email!).

Well, it’s official, TIN HORSE is now an official blog band! Thanks to Suzanne, the farmer’s wife, for finally caving to band demands during the heated negotiations and making THB part of her great website. Check it out!

This past weekend, THB members enjoyed one of their first (and only) weekends off this summer. But that’s all behind them now. The band has three shows in four days this week:

1) Hickory Hills, IL on Tuesday, July 29 - 7pm to 8:30pm
2) Turtle Creek Casino (in Williamsburg, MI) on Thursday, July 31 and Friday, August 1. Shows both nights start at 9PM.

Well, THB put another 1400 miles on the ol’ tour bus this weekend and played another couple of shows for such a great group of people in both Illinois and Nebraska. Aside from the joke mother nature played on the band (a downpour at what was supposed to be an outdoor show in Alsip, IL on Friday and a sun-scorching day in the middle of a cornfield in Holdrege, NE), the band weathered the weekend beautifully and made a bunch of new fans to boot.

This past weekend had TIN HORSE out for 4 nights on the Horses Gone Wild Tour. What does that add up to? 360 miles of road travelled, 158 songs played, 27 visitors on the TIN HORSE bus, 3 episodes of SNL watched (including the band’s favorite - Debbie Downer), 1 sitdown breakfast, a fridge full of cold pizza, 1 case of Red Bull, the last remaining box of TIN HORSE pre-release CDs sold (don’t worry, we’ll have more before next weekend!), a whole slew of new THB fans, and the best darn fireworks show any band member or crew has ever seen (thank you Glendale Heights!).

Thanks to all our great hosts and fans in NW Indiana, Maple Park, IL and Glendale Heights. Stay tuned for pictures from those shows! And remmber, if you see yourself in ‘em, let us know and we’ll send you a copy!

TIN HORSE had a great weekend playing Nebraska!

On Friday, the tour bus pulled up at the Testicle Festival in South Bend, NE. The folks at Round The Bend Steakhouse (Ron Olsen, his son TJ, and the rest of their family), who host the annual event, made the band feel super welcome and fed them steaks the size of, well, super enormous steaks. The band was also hand-fed bull “fries” during the show and can now attest to the appeal of the Rocky Mountain Oyster.

TIN HORSE also had the great honor of an on-air interview on Froggy 98FM with James Pond. Thanks to the people at Froggy FM for sponsoring the event and to radio personalities Al G and Gary Greenwood for helping get the crowd so revved up for the band!

Saturday, the “Horses Gone Wild” tour headed for Lincoln, NE, where the band shared the stage with classic rock legends Slowride (featuring Tony Stevens, Foghat) and Headeast. The folks in those bands, the people at Lincoln’s Summerfest, and our booking agents were the best! Thanks to all of you who bought CDs and dropped us notes even before we made it home, including:

TIN HORSE opened the Summer Concert Series in Bloomingdale, IL last night (Tuesday, June 10). Previous outdoor shows threatened all sorts of storms but not last night. The weather was perfect, the crowd was engaged, and the band had a blast. Thanks to the people of Bloomingdale for their great support - the CD sale funds did end up paying for the gas afterall ($5 a gallon for diesel, y’all!). And thanks to Jo for booking the band. There are rumors floating about that TIN HORSE has already been booked to return next year!

Next up! On Friday, June 13, TIN HORSE headlines the Testicle Festival. Each June, visitors and locals clamor to South Bend, NE to attend this very quirky annual event celebrating the Rocky Mountain oyster. As a matter of fact, South Bend, Nebraska serves more testicles than any where in the world at its ‘Testicle Festival’. TIN HORSE promises to serve up just the right dose of rockin’, dance all night music to wash it all down with. Tune into FROGGY 98.1 in the Lincoln area for an on-air interivew with TIN HORSE during the day on Friday, June 13.

On Saturday, June 14, TIN HORSE shares the stage with classic rock legends Head East and Slow Ride (featuring Tony Stevens of Foghat) at Nebraska Summerfest in Lincoln, NE.

Despite high winds and looming storms, the TIN HORSE show at St. John Family Fest this past Friday was a great success. The band even surprised the audience by playing their original song written in honor of St. John, which has become TIN HORSE’s home away from home in NW Indiana.

Wow! What a great, long weekend for TIN HORSE. The band started out in St. John, IN, traveled down to Decatur, IL, and then wrapped up the weekend in Loves Park, IL. Saturday, TIN HORSE performed the first outdoor festival of the season: Mainstreet Plainfield’s Springfest. The band made a lot of new friends that day and hope to return to the area very soon!

In the meantime, this weekend, Memorial Day Weekend, will be a busy one for TIN HORSE and their tour bus:
1. an early AM radio appearance on Indiana 105 Friday morning.
2. an all night Indiana 105 party at Northwoods in St. John, IN on Friday night.
3. a rocking show in Decatur, IL Saturday night.
4. a return to one of Northern Illinois’ greatest festivals: Young At Heart on Sunday night.(read more about the festival and TIN HORSE here).

Hey there THB fans. As you know, Andra, Antje, and Caroline got up in the wee early hours Thursday morning to make a guest appearance on Indiana 105 with Steve Zana. [They chronicled their journey - catch a glimpse here!] Then they and the rest of the band put on a rocking show until late late late into Thursday night at Northwoods in St. John, IN. The venue has become TIN HORSE’s favorite stomping grounds in the area… and for good reason: the venue, the staff and all the people who come out are the best!

This past week, due to some technical difficulties, THB management pulled the official launch of the THB Corral but we’re excited that everything is up and running now. It includes the first edition of Tin Horse Times and Dear Diary, a behind the scenes blog with postings by members of THB. The members of TIN HORSE have contacted us, their management team, expressing their anger about the current situation with their fans. The issue is: the company that hosts our site and mailing lists experienced a server meltdown and started rapid firing everybody on the mailing lists. So many of you received hundreds of emails from them within the past few hours. Again we apologize for clogging your inboxes, blackberrys, etc.

We’ve been on the phone with “tech support” for the past few hours and have hopefully resolved this issue. They have assured us this won’t happen again.

In the next few days, you will be receiving an apology email, which will offer some restitution for any inconvenience.

Despite the daunting weather forecast last Friday, Tin Horse made it to Mokena, IL, stayed dry through the onslaught of rain and thunder, and created a little storm of their own for the great crowd at The Colosseum.

This Friday, after all your inquiries, we’re glad to announce that this week’s leg of the Horses Gone Wild tour brings the band back to KBII in Wind Lake, WI for a full night of rock-your-socks off music, including a couple new tunes.

Hey there THB fans! It’s a sunny day off here for Tin Horse - - thank goodness Spring is here. We’re basking in the sun and the glory of our last set of shows. Thanks to the folks at US99 and John Barleycorn for making our show with Locash Cowboys such a blast on Thursday night. And thanks to Indiana 105, Steve Zana, and the folks at Northwoods for making us feel so welcome both early Friday morning for our on air radio appearance (You weren’t up that early? No worries - listen here!) and for our Friday late night gig.

Hey there all THB fans. It’s another busy week for Tin Horse with a couple great shows, an on air radio appearance, a full day of recording in the studio, and, of course, getting that “thank goodness it’s Spring!” pedicure.

THIS WEEK’s SUPER HOT APPEARANCES!

Chicagoland area THB fans can catch us this Thursday, April 17 at John Barleycorn’s in Schaumburg, IL for our return performance courtesy of John Barleycorn and US99. If you haven’t seen video of our last appearance, check out the video on US99.com. We go on at 9PM so you’ll be home in plenty of time to catch some shuteye and be bright-eyed and bushytailed for work on Friday morning.

Speaking of Friday morning, if you’re in the Chicago / NW Indiana area, catch Tin Horse’s live radio appearance on Steve Zana’s morning show on Indiana 105. We’ll be chatting about life on the road, the Horses Gone Wild tour, and singing a song or two from our upcoming album. We go on around 8:30am so make sure to set your radio dial on 105FM for your drive into work. 

When the work day is done, celebrate TGIF with THB! Come on out to NW Indiana’s premiere music spots: Northwoods in St. John. Tin Horse plays until late, late, late and promises it will be a night of high energy, dance-able, sing-along non-stop fun. It’s a special Indiana 105 night and a great way to kick off the weekend.

Well, the Tin Horse show at Northwoods in St. John, IN totally rocked. If you’ve never been to venue that brings a taste of the great north woods to the NW Indiana area, you are totally missing something big, but no worries - the band will be back at Northwoods on Friday, April 18 for a special night with radio station Indiana 105.

Highlights of the night:

• Presenting our tour bus driver with a GPS unit, a tweety bird balloon, and a homemade carrot cake in honor of his birthday. As a result we did not get lost on the way to the show AND had a fun-filled, sugar high ride filled with “I Taut I Taw A Puddy Tat” jokes.
• Getting up and dancing on the bar during “Kerosene”. Those Northwoods girls totally bring the house down.
• Having the late night waitress Danielle come up on stage during “All Jacked Up” and throw down on the vocals.

Thanks to everyone at Northwoods for taking care of us and making us feel so welcome. And thanks to all our new THB fans! We even had comments and friend requests within hours after strumming the last chord including:

“Saw you last nite at Northwoods and you gals were great!!! I was the 1st winner of the tickets you were handing out. Once again GREAT job last nite.” - Lo, South Holland, IL

Wow, what a fantastic weekend Tin Horse had starting with a US99 show at the new John Barleycorn in Schaumburg, IL. They have an incredible stage and we had an awesome crowd! PLUS the folks at John Barleycorn and US99 asked us back to open for Locash Cowboys on April 17! Mark your calendars!

Then two nights at the Whiskey Barrel Saloon in Lansing, MI - a great honky tonk filled to the rim with country dancers. The mechanical bull added just the right touch. Thanks to the folks at Whiskey Barrel and country station WITL for making the band feel so welcome. And thanks to all of you for all of your comments. Tin Horse had a great tour to Missouri and Nebraska this weekend, covering 1600 miles in 3 days.  A special TIN HORSE shout out to our bus driver. 

The response was so overwhelming that we are sure to be back in the area during the summer months. It was great for us to talk with so many of you and to hear how much you all enjoyed our music. Thanks to some fantastic showcases, the band will be returning to those regions several times this year. Keep an eye on our SHOWS page for updates on where Tin Horse will be.

Coming up next – a treat for all Chicago Southland Tin Horse fans: Feb. 9 at The Colosseum in Mokena IL and Feb. 23 at Gunthers in Plainfield IL.

Thanks to all of you who came out to see us last weekend at Kelly’s Bleachers in Wind Lake, WI and Keller’s Ranch in Milan, IL. We had a ball playin’ for and meeting y’all, despite the trials and tribulations involved in actually GETTING to the gig.

As many of you know, our tour bus broke down somewhere near Kenosha, WI.  After a couple of hours watching our driver try everything under the sun, the worry of not getting to the gig started to sink in. But this story has a happy ending. Thanks to some good samaritans, who hauled the entire band, crew, and trailer full of gear, to the show, we made it in plenty of time. PLUS, the bus was fixed and our driver had it at Kelly’s Bleachers for us to use pre-show.

Thanks to Chasin’ Mason, Kelly, and all of you new Tin Horse fans who made us feel so welcome. We’ll be back at Kelly’s Bleachers on October 26. Don’t forget the Country Costume Contest that night! We’re looking forward to it!

It was smooth ride on the bus to Milan, IL (near the Quad Cities) for our show at Keller’s Ranch the next night. Scott Keller was smokin’ up a big, home-cooked dinner for us. He and Kate put out a great spread and it was FAN-tastic. Speaking of FAN, we made a bunch of new friends out in Milan and can’t wait to play again for you all at Keller’s Ranch on November 10.

Well, Tin Horse had another great show surrounded with some technical difficulties:

The tour bus broke engine overheated on the way to the gig. We had to turn around and coasted to dead at homebase. Switched to two cars and a trailer and re-started our 188 mile ride to Decatur, IL. We were an hour late for our load in BUT the sound company was even later in setting up their equipment so it turned to be OK… except that 2 hours later, at our designated start time, we were still waiting for the sound, staging, lights to be set up. We didn’t go until 2 hours after that. To say that, despite the delay, the crowd was great is an understatement - they cheered us on even when the power blew in the middle of a tune. Thanks for your emails, like:

The Kentucky Headhunters, with whom we were fortunate enough to share the stage that day, were even more gracious… Tin Horse even got a personal email from Grammy-award winning guitarist Greg Martin. We’re looking forward to playing with them again sometime very soon.

They played 3 sold out shows including one at the historic Birchmere in Alexandria, VA, one of the east coast’s most prestigious venues. Many careers have been launched from this internationally recognized music hall and, as the Birchmere website states, on any given night, a star may be born. Tin Horse couldn’t be more proud to be included among names like Mary Chapin Carpenter, Lyle Lovett, Shawn Colvin, Jerry Jeff Walker, Dave Matthews, Vince Gill, John Prine, Emmylou Harris, Linda Ronstadt, and k.d. Lang, among many, many, more.

Tin Horse made a lot of new friends, including one who wrote: “Tin Horse opened [for Lowen & Navarro] and whooa! Beautiful to see and hear, great harmonies, great playing and great songs. Watch out, they’re gonna be big.” Thanks for the great notes, postings, comments, emails. They couldn’t be more appreciated!

Chicago area Lowen & Navarro fans will be pleased to note that Tin Horse will join Dan & Eric on stage when Lowen & Navarro headline Taste of Randolph Street on June 17.

For all of you who came out and hung out all night with us at Sam Maguire’s last Friday, thanks! We had a blast! And now we’re packing up our gear, clothes, CDs and promotional cards to fly out to the east coast for our tour with Lowen & Navarro. We’ll be at the historic Birchmere in Virginia and the incomparable Ram’s Head in Annapolis. Check out the full schedule and hope to see you there!

We had a great photo shoot today with our expert team of stylists from Sweet Pickle Music. Photographer Mary Buczek, known for her insightful character studies, shot more film than the paparazzi do when Paris and Brittney get together (OK, well, it’s all digital so no actual film was harmed in the making of our new pics). Look for the new shots, our new website, and more to come VERY soon.

Wow - what a great show at Stage 151 at Harrah’s in Joliet (called “Stage 151″ because, as an obliging, and highly informed, audience member let us know, “It’s the address.”). The crowd was great, their dancing was superb, and the energy was top notch. Thanks to the great staff at Harrah’s for all their assistance, and thanks to all of you who dropped by (and stuck around ALL night!), to help us make the show so much fun!

This Saturday, March 3 combine a gamble with a sure thing when Tin Horse plays Stage 151 at Harrah’s Casino in Joliet, IL. As Harrah’s says: “Tin Horse is one of the hottest country bands that will rock the house with music straight from Nashville.” Brings some quarters for the slots and your dancing boots for the show. See you there!

Well, we had an awesome night at Little Big Horn this past Friday. The folks there are the best! They fed us, gave us drink, and showered us with praise. Thanks to all of you who braved the cold and even MORE snow (as if it were possible) to come out and see us. For those of you who witnessed our bassist’s on-stage, take it to the mat, wrestlefest with the keyboard, you’ll be pleased to know that both the bassist and the keyboard are no worse for the wear and, frankly, our version of Hicktown never sounded better!

Next up? Finishing up our recordings, buying Tony a Hulk Hogan wrestlemania bandana, and getting ready for some great shows in the south Chicago vicinity in March including: Harrahs in Joliet, The Pearl Room with Emerson Drive in Mokena, and Gunthers in Plainfield! See you there and then!

Happy 2007! Did you make any resolutions? Tin Horse did: to play as many kick*** shows as possible. And they’re starting the New Year off right with a rare, acoustic appearance with Lowen & Navarro at Chicago’s historic Park West Theatre on Saturday, January 13. Tickets are already threatening to sell out so buy yours in advance!

As we approach the Christmas season, we think about all we have to be grateful for in 2006. Tin Horse had a great year that included opening stages for Gretchen Wilson and Billy Currington, a booking with Lee Ann Womack and Toby Keith, playing with Los Lonely Boys, Jamey Johnson, Rhett Akins, Trent Willmon, and an eclectic pairing with Soul Asylum. We performed at the World’s Largest Music Festival (Summerfest in Milwaukee), the country’s largest country festivals (Country USA and Chippewa Valley Country Music Festival), and some great regional festivals to boot. And we had numerous radio interviews along with our new songs being played.

Most important was you. The friends we have made at clubs, radio stations and concert halls as we traveled throughout the Midwest.
